10 Days Uganda Safari takes you for an amazing experience in Uganda, the climax of this Uganda Safari is an encounter with mountain gorillas. However, you will also visit the best national parks in Uganda and sell some of the iconic wildlife species in Africa.
This safari starts in Murchison Falls National Park, then to Kibale Forest National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and finally Lake Bunyonyi.

Detailed itinerary of 10 Days Uganda Safari
Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls national park, Rhino Tracking
Your driver shall pick you up from your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe very early, after a short briefing you will start your journey to Murchison Falls National Park with stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary – the only place where you will find the wild rhinos for rhino tracking experience.
Then proceed to Murchison Falls National Park with en-route lunch in Masindi Town, upon arrival you will drive directly to the top of the falls where you will enjoy great views of the waterfall and later connect to your lodge for a night rest at Parkside Safari Lodge for Budget, Pakuba Safari Lodge for Mid-range, Paraa Safari Lodge.

Day 2: Morning game drive and boat cruise
After breakfast, connect for a morning game drive where you will be able to view different animals like elephants, buffaloes, Jackson’s hartebeest, waterbucks, oribi, giraffes, warthogs, view predators like lions and leopards if you are lucky among others. After the game drive you will drive back to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you will connect for an afternoon boat cruise along the Nile which will give you an exciting panoramic view at the bottom of the mighty Murchison falls. Along the cruise, you will encounter crocodiles, hippos, and birds on the river banks like kingfishers, cormorants, and bee-eater. Return to the lodge with an en-route evening game drive to find some animals. Dinner and overnight stay at lodge as above.

Day 3: Transfer to Kibale National Park, Tea Plantation Visit
Early morning after breakfast, depart the lodge Proceed for your long journey to Kibale Forest National Park. This Park is home to almost 13 primate species. These include red colobus and L’Hoest’s monkey and many more. You will have lunch in Fort Portal. Proceed with the journey to the Kibale forest with an en-route visit of the tea plantations. On a clear day, be sure to take amazing pictures and also learn about the way tea is grown, harvested and proceed to your cup. Dinner and overnight stay at Isunga Lodge for Budget, Chimpanzee Forest Lodge for Mid-range, Chimpundu Safari Lodge.

Day 4: Chimpanzee tracking and Transfer to Queen, Evening Game Drive
After breakfast, you will set out for chimp tracking within the Kibale Forest. During your search, expect to see a lot of primate species like chimpanzees, monkeys, and other animals like the forest elephants, bush pig and duiker, warthogs, reptiles, and amphibians as well as a colorful variety of butterflies. Return to the Lodge for lunch.
Thereafter, transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park – the most popular wildlife destination in Uganda with an option of enjoying a late afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight stay at Queen Elizabeth Safari Lodge for Budget, Elephant Hab Lodge for Mid-range, Mweya Safari Lodge – Luxury.

Day 5: Game drive and Launch cruise
After breakfast, you will set out for the lion tracking experience and game drive in search for early risers in the Kasenyi area. Queen Elizabeth National Park protects a diverse eco-system of grassy plains, rivers, crater lakes, forests, swamps, and lakes. These are home to various types of wildlife and a game drive in Queen Elizabeth will reward you with views of animals such as lions, antelopes, buffalos, elephants, waterbuck, Uganda Kob, and other types of antelopes.
Return to your Lodge for lunch and after, go for a 3 hours launch cruise along the Kazinga Channel and into Lake Edward. This cruise will let you pass through a place of the highest concentration of hippos and you may also see many animals drinking at the water’s edge. The cruise also offers a good platform for photography, bird watching, and game viewing. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight as above.

Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
You will set out for the game drive in the Ishasha area is a popular place to see the rare tree climbing lions which you will see resting on fig tree branches which sometimes depends on the lunch.
Have lunch along the way and continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park arriving in the evening. Spend the rest of the day relaxing at your lodge as you prepare for your next day gorilla trekking experience.
Dinner and overnight stay at Buhoma Community Rest Camp for Budget, Buhoma Haven Lodge for Mid-range and Buhoma Lodge.

Day 7: Gorilla Trekking Experience in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Enjoy an early breakfast, meet up with your driver guide to go for a briefing about the rules and regulations to follow during trekking with your packed lunch boxes. After the briefing you will join a team of researchers, scientist, park guides among others and start trekking. Gorilla trekking experience is a 2-6 hours activity and during trekking you will be able to view other wildlife species including other primate species, different trees among others.
Once the gorillas are located you will be allowed to spend 1 hour with them in their natural habitat which gives you an opportunity to learn about their way of life; take photos among others. After the face to face interacting with the mountain gorillas you will trek back to the park headquarters where you will meet your driver guide and return back to the lodge for lunch. Spend the rest of the afternoon at leisure, relax as you wait for dinner and overnight as above.

Day 8: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
After a leisurely breakfast, proceed to transfer to Lake Bunyonyi – the second deepest lake in Africa and the deepest in Uganda. Along the way you will enjoy scenic views of the terraced hills and farmlands.
Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch, spend the rest of the day relaxing at your lodge. Alternatively you can go for swimming in the waters of the lake or just enjoy the scenic views of the lake from the balcony of your room. Have dinner and an overnight stay at Arcadia Bunyonyi Resort.

Day 9: Full Day in Lake Bunyonyi
Have breakfast at your leisure and thereafter you will go for an amazing canoe ride where you will paddle along the shores with spectacular views of beautiful scenery, explore some of the 29 islands such as the punishment island where girls who got pregnant were left to die as a punishment, view terraced farmlands, bird species among others. After canoeing you will drive to the lodge for lunch.
Batwa Community tour, After lunch you will go for a community tour which gives you an opportunity to interact with the Batwa Pygmy people, know more about their culture, traditions, and be entertained by local dances and drama, local markets, buy craft souvenirs among others. After the community tour you will drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay as above.

Day 10: Transfer to Entebbe
Have an early breakfast, check out and proceed on a transfer to Entebbe with lunch en-route. You shall be dropped off at the airport in Entebbe in time for your flight, or hotel in Entebbe, bringing your safari and our services to an end.
