Detailed itinerary of 6 Days Uganda Jungle and Safari

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport

On you arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your personal driver and be driven to your hotel in Entebbe as you taken in the vibrant atmosphere and stunning beauty of Uganda

Day 2: Transfer to Kibale National Park

Have breakfast and drive from Entebbe to Kibale Forest National Park on a journey of 6-hour scenic route that will take you through lush countryside, several plantations and some bustling towns and villages. As you get closer to the incredible Kibale Forest National Park, the landscape slowly changes into a thick forest, and you might have a chance to spot your first chimpanzee or some other primates. Get ready to wake up your inner Tarzan or Jane, as tomorrow you will put on your hiking boots and head into the jungle!

Day 3: Swamp walk in Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary at Kibale National Park

The swamp walk through the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary at Kibale Forest National Park is a must-do if you love birds, monkeys, rare animals, plants and flowers. This magical place, or “home of the great blue turaco” as it is also called, harbors over 200 bird species. During your walk, you can spot eight primate species in the trees above you and Ugandan animals like Sitatungas, bushbucks and otters. Immerse yourself in the sights, sounds and smells of this pristine wetland, being in perfect harmony with nature’s rhythm. This is a true gem which only waits to be discovered by you.

Day 4: Drive from Kibale to Queen Elizabeth National Park 

Wake up early for breakfast and head to the park for chimpanzee trekking, join other trekkers for briefing at the park headquarters about the dos and don’ts while in Kibale Forest and in presence of the chimpanzees.

Trek in to the misty jungle looking for chimpanzees, the trek takes approximately 2 to 6 hours or more depending on the movement of the chimpanzees and where they spent their previous night. You are allowed 1 hour of being in their presence, watching them play from one tree branch to another and taking amazing picture. Return to the lodge for lunch, later drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, when you arrive in the park you will have an en-route game drive as you head to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Safari in Queen Elizabeth National Park + Boat safari 

Discover the countless gems of Queen Elizabeth National Park in land, then hop into a comfy boat and do a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel – home of hippos, crocodiles and colorful birds.

During your game drive, our guide takes you in your private jeep on an unlimited game drive in the park. Make sure to share your expectations for this day with him, and let yourself be surprised by the suggestions he might have. Once on the road, ask any question that comes to mind and most of all. Enjoy the amazing ride and sights.

In the afternoon, embark on an unforgettable boat safari in Queen Elizabeth National Park. For two to three hours, you will cruise along the Kazinga Channel and be amazed by the incredible wildlife and stunning landscapes.

As you float gently over the water, marvel at semi-submerged hippos, crocodiles basking in the sun and a variety of bird species everywhere around you. Your guide will tell you interesting and fun facts about the animals and region and, of course, drop – the so – called anchor here and there to allow for some great pictures.

Day 6: Departure

After some exhilarating days of exploring, today marks the end of your Uganda Safari, Enjoy a drive back to Kampala where you will be dropped off at Entebbe International Airport to catch your flight back home.
