Detailed itinerary of 5 Days Masai Mara Safari in Kenya
Day 1: Pick up and Transfer to Masai Mara
Your Driver – Guide will pick you up from your hotel in Nairobi, with an early morning departure for a picturesque drive descending the Great Rift Valley and onwards to Masai Mara, Kenya’s famous game reserve.
You will stop briefly enroute at the Great Rift Valley Viewpoint to enjoy the stunning views of the largest valley in the world, said to be visible from outer space. Arrive at your camp in Masai Mara for a leisurely lunch. Your afternoon game drive starts immediately, allowing spotting of the amazing wildlife in the reserve ranging from the Big Cats such as Lion, Leopard and cheetahs among others. Return to your camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Game drives in Masai Mara
Your will be taken on two game drives today, one in the morning before breakfast and the other in the late afternoon after lunch from 3.30 pm to 6.30 pm. Early mornings and late afternoons are considered the best time to spot animals at their most active.
Return in the evening for dinner and overnight at the camp.

Day 3: Enjoy Full day in Masai Mara
Today you have an early rise for your morning safari game drive during which you will see more of the Mara’s great wildlife. After a relaxed breakfast, proceed for a transfer to the another camp – Governors Camp, nestled in the riverine forest along the winding banks of the Mara River, its waters teeming with bird-life, hippo and crocodile. Arrive at the camp late morning, for check-in after which you enjoy a sumptuous lunch.
Your afternoon game drive starts a few minutes after lunch, allowing you to explore further lying parts of the park. You then return back to your camp in time for Tea or Coffee.
Dinner and overnight at Governors Camp
Day 4: Enjoy a Maasai Village Visit and Nature Walk
Today you may choose to have a morning and afternoon game drive or even head out to the reserve for a long day game excursion with a packed picnic lunch.
Optional activities such as the Maasai Village and Nature Walk below are at additional cost.
During the day you may also choose to be taken to a traditional Maasai tribe village on the outskirts of the reserve. The village visit which lasts an hour will give you a glimpse into the fascinating way of life of the Maasai, a nomadic warrior tribe of Kenya. During the course of the day, if you choose to book a nature walk, subject to availability, you would enjoy an hour long walk with the resident guided based at the camp. The walk allows you to closely observe and learn about the local flora and fauna within the vicinity of the property.
Enjoy your afternoon safari game drive in the reserve during which you hopefully get to spot any of your favorite animals which you may have missed seeing so far during the safari. Return in the evening for dinner and overnight at the camp.

Day 5: Return to Nairobi
After a relaxed breakfast and checkout. Proceed with return road transfer back to Nairobi with a brief morning game drive en-route. You are expected to exit the reserve by 10 am. Arrive Nairobi by early afternoon, drop-off at your hotel, or free onwards transfer to the airport for your flight back home.
