Detailed Itinerary of 5 Days Double Gorilla Trekking and Habituation Experience Safari
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
On arrival at Entebbe International Airport or after breakfast at your hotel in Kampala, meet your guide and embark on a journey to South western Uganda head to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home of mountain gorillas passing in the rolling hills, tea and banana plantations giving you a scenic view.
You will reach in the evening, check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Have early morning breakfast, you will be transferred to the park headquarters for briefing about gorillas trekking. A ranger from Uganda Wildlife Authority will take you through Dos and Don’t’s during your trekking activity, in groups of 8 people you will be assigned a gorilla family to trek and head into the forest of Bwindi looking for mountain gorillas escorted by the armed ranger.
Gorilla trek may take half an hour or three quarters of the day depending on the movement of mountain gorillas, once you find them you will be allowed to spend one hour interacting with mountain gorillas, taking pictures and you will later return to the headquarters to be awarded certificates and you will be driven back to the lodge for relaxation and overnight stay.

Day 3: Second Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Have early morning breakfast and be transferred to the park headquarters with your packed lunch to join other trackers for your second trekking activity, on this second trek you will be allowed to trek other gorilla family different from the one you trekked the previous day. The experience is different since families are not the same, after your trek you will be transferred back to the lodge for relaxation and overnight.

Day 4: Gorilla Habituation experience in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After your early morning breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters again but this time for briefing about the dos and donts during your habituation experience. In groups of 8 people you will start the trek inside the forests of Bwindi escorted by the armed ranger. The trek can take approximately 2-6 hours or more depending on where the gorillas spent their previous night.
You are allowed to spend 4 hours interacting with them, taking pictures and learning more about they are trained to get used to people you will later return to the headquarters to be awarded certificates and you will be driven back to the lodge for relaxation and overnight.
