Detailed itinerary of 4 Days Tsavo Safari
Day 1: Nairobi – Tsavo East National Park
On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or after breakfast at your hotel in Nairobi, you will meet our guide and embark on a journey to Tsavo East National Park after a short briefing.
Arrive in time for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive. Tsavo East National Park is the largest national park in Kenya together with its sister park – Tsavo West National Park. During the game drive, you will see various animals including lions, elephants, warthogs, gazelles, zebras among others.
Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Voi Wildlife Lodge.
Day 2: Tsavo East – Tsavo West National Park
Wake up, have breakfast and head to the park for an early morning game drive, this is the perfect time to have an encounter with predators of Tsavo East including leopards, lions and African wild dogs. Other animals to lookout for include hippos, waterbucks, red elephants, lesser kudu and over 500 recorded bird species.
Bid farewell to Tsavo East and drive to Tsavo West National Park with lunch on the way. Tsavo West is an amazing Kenya Wildlife Destination offering many attractions apart from its wildlife including the famous Mzima Springs where up to 227.3 million litres of cool crystal clear water flows out of the ground through porous volcanic rocks. The water here orginates from Chuyulu hills via an underground river.
Have an afternoon game drive and later in the day, head to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Man Eater’s Lodge.
Day 3: Tsavo West – Amboseli National Park
Wake up for breakfast and head to the park for a morning game drive, Tsavo West National Park offers some of the most magnificent game viewing in the world and some of the animals to look out for include elephant, rhino, hippos, lions, cheetahs, leopards, buffaloes and diverse bird species including the threaten corn crater and near threatened Basra Reed Warbler.
With packed lunch, you will embark on a journey to Amboseli National Park – The Land of Giants. Amboseli is among the most popular destination in Kenya renown for hosting large herds of elephants and the magical backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro.
Go for an afternoon game drive exploring the savannah plains of Amboseli, keep your eyes out for large herds of elephants, zebra, lions, buffaloes, cheetahs among others. Head to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Ol Tukai Lodge.
Day 4: Amboseli – Nairobi
Have breakfast and go for a morning game drive exploring Amboseli National Park. Named from the Maasai word empusel, meaning a salty, dusty place. Amboseli is a beautiful park encompassing wide-open areas of savannah grassland, tangled acacia forests and the dried-up bed of Lake Amboseli.
During the game drive you will enjoy scenic views of Mount Kilimanjaro – the tallest mountain on the continent, animals to lookout for include leopards, cheetah, wild dogs, buffaloes, elephants, giraffes, zebra, lion, mongoose, hyrax, dik-dik, lesser kudu and nocturnal porcupine.
Then embark on a journey back to Nairobi with en-route lunch, your guide will drop you offer at the airport for your flight back home.
