Detailed itinerary of 4 Days Rwanda Double Gorilla Tracking
Day 1: Airport pick up and transfer to the hotel in Kigali
Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your private Rowin Africa Safari representative and transfer you to your hotel for refreshments and a relaxed evening.
Dinner and overnight at Hotel Milles Collines
Day 2: City tour and Transfer to Ruhengeri, Volcanoes National Park
Have morning breakfast then go for a Kigali City Tour visiting the Kigali Genocide Museum, craft shops, local markets and many more. Have a break for lunch then later embark on a 2-3 hours journey to Volcanoes National Park in Ruhengeri. Check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Dinner and overnight at Five Volcanoes Boutique Lodge
Day 3: 1st Gorilla trekking experience in Volcanoes National Park.
After early morning breakfast, you will be transferred to the park headquarters in Kinigi for a briefing about mountain gorillas and the right way to behave while in the forests. Along with your trekking gears, drinking water and packed lunch, the driver will drop you off at the starting point to trek the gorillas together with the ranger guides.
The trek may take between 1-8 hours searching from the endangered gorillas depending on the movement and where they spent their previous night. However, meeting them is so rewarding and you will spend a maximum of 1 hour with them as you take time studying them and taking 8 hours search for the gorilla depending on their movement.

After spending your time with the fascinating mountain gorillas, return to the base and meet your driver to return to your lodge for lunch and refresh, dinner and overnight as above.

Day 4: 2nd Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park and Departure
After your breakfast at your lodge, meet your driver guide who will transfer you to your back to Kinigi headquarters for briefing for the second trek. Just as the first day, the procedure will be the same.
After this trek, you may have lunch, relax for a while and then transfer back to Kigali to rest and refresh. You may have an optional visit to the shops and recreation centers. You will later be dropped off at Kigali International Airport to catch your flight back home.
