Day 1 – Airport pick-up and Hotel Transfer
Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative, your private driver-guide and transfer to your hotel in Kigali City.

Day 2 – Volcanoes National Park
Enjoy breakfast and proceed to Kigali City for a tour, the history of Rwanda dates back centuries, Kigali has been a part of it for 100 years, founded in 1907 as a German Settlement, Kigali did not become the capital until Rwanda’s independence in 1962 when it replaced the colonial seat of power in Butare.
Visit the Kandt Museum, see the old Kigali and the craft centres then visit the genocide memorial site. Learn about Rwanda’s history from pre-colonial times to the 1994 genocide, learn about other genocides in the world and how this country has dealt with that past. Tour more and see the new developments in Rwanda, the recovery has been incredible, a testament to the resilience of humankind.
Later, depart Kigali and drive to Ruhengeri for 3 hours arriving in time for lunch at the Volcanoes National Park headquarters. In the evening, enjoy Intore, Cultural Dancers troupe will spice your stay with memorable Rwanda dances.

Day 3 – Gorilla Tracking
Have early breakfast at the lodge then proceed to the park headquarters in Kinigi for registration and briefing by the park staff, you will also be assigned a gorilla family to trek and head into the forests of Volcanoes National Park looking for mountain gorillas.
Each group is led by a guide and armed ranger, the trek can take approximately 2 to 6 hours or more depending on the movement of the gorillas. Upon locating the gorilla family you are allowed to spend only one hour in their presence watching them go on with their life in the forest.
After the trek, rejoin your driver guide for a transfer to your lodge for lunch. In the afternoon depart from Volcanoes National Park to Lake Kivu arriving in evening. Afternoon at leisure to enjoy optional activities offered at an extra cost.

Day 4 – Back to Kigali- Departure
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel, spend the morning at leisure enjoying optional activities. Later depart eastwards past coffee, tea and banana plantations on a scenic drive to Kigali.
Transfer to the airport for your depart flight.
